Under the stage name DJ S.I.ØNE, Simon Wernli has been shaping electronic music culture since the mid-1980s. His central project SPACEPLANET is a driving force in the scene today, but his roots go far back: In 1996, he mixed the official Street Parade video and delivered the perfect anthem for it with "Space Planet 303". His sound – an energetic blend of trance, hard trance and techno – has connected club culture and emotions across decades, taking him from legendary Basel clubs to Rimini and all across Europe.
As a producer, he has celebrated considerable international success. Tracks like "Free My Body" or "A New Dimension Of Trance" firmly established him in the scene. Especially his connections to the "Tunnel Trance Force" environment as well as engagements for Sony Music, BMG Ariola and TBA testify to his musical significance. It is estimated that audio carriers with his involvement have sold around five million copies worldwide – an impressive testament to his influence on an entire generation of ravers.
Visionary, Entrepreneur and Trance Ambassador
In addition to his career behind the decks, Simon Wernli has also proven to have an exceptional entrepreneurial instinct. As the founder of successful companies such as iage AG, as well as his own music labels like SPACEPLANET Records and Rimini Deep Records, he actively shaped the industry behind the scenes. Despite his impressive professional career as an entrepreneur and family man, his passion for music has never let him go.
Today, his YouTube channel @spaceplanetofficial impressively documents his unbroken artistic presence. With successful formats like "Tuesday Trance", thrilling vinyl sets and new releases like "Toward the Real You", he leads the SPACEPLANET project into a new era.
